Ever wondered what to do with leftover bread that you just can't seem to throw out, even though it's gone stale? Leftover bread can be used for all sorts of different things and it's not just those artisan breads either. They can be converted into something tasty and delicious. Here are some suggestions...
Aritisan bread includes French and Italian loaves; egg based breads such as brioche and challah; and croissants.
If the crust is extremely hard, then slice it off before cutting the bread into slices or cubes.
Regular Pre-sliced Sandwich Bread
Toast both sides of the bread in a toaster or under a broiler (grill). Allow to cool and then process them into a desired sized crumb in a food processor. Crumbs can be stored in the freezer until needed.
Rule of Thumb - if it's savory bread such as a herb bread, then use it for savory dishes, and if it is a sweet variety like a fruit bread, then use it for desserts or sweet dishes.
