Recipe: Holiday Sparkling Wine Cocktail

There's something special about serving a festive red cocktail during the holidays - it seems to get everyone in the spirit. But the key to success is choosing a cocktail that can be made ahead of time, so you're not having to bother mixing drinks when your guests arrive. Here's a refreshing festive drink that in some ways could also be good for you...

  • 2 cups chilled 100% Pomegranate Juice
  • 1 cup chilled freshly squeezed orange juice, strained
  • 1/4 cup Triple Sec
  • 1 bottle chilled sparkling white wine

In a large pitcher, add the pomegranate juice and the orange juice. Then add the sparkling wine and Triple Sec. Stir gently until well mixed.

If you want to make this cocktail ahead of time, just add the juices to the pitcher with the Triple Sec and refrigerate until you are just about to serve, then add the wine and stir - this will stop the wine from going flat.

Serve in champagne flutes.

Omit the Triple Sec and replace the sparkling wine with ginger ale to create a non-alcoholic cocktail.
